i suffered a C5 C6 T7 T8 L3 L4 L5 injury in october 07, which resulted in permenant nerve damage and having surgery to remove two of the lumbar discs. as a result of this i am now having to use crutches around the house and a wheelchair when i go out. its had a massive impact on my life, including giving up the job i l...oved most. i have a lot of support through my family and the hospital pain management programme. if it were'nt for them i dread to think what would become of me. people have difficulty in understanding what i go through so being able to join a group like this keeps me going and knowing there's others that know exactly what i mean.Read More

Stephen Hunt Good news from USA today on lifting funding and other restrictions on stem cell research. Let's hope we see some results before too long.
Lisa Henry My partner suffered a C7, spinal cord injury after a swimming pool accident in May 08. We are both in our 20's and have 2 small children. I really hope that one day that all your hard work and determination will pay off by "finding a cure for spiinal injuries". This would be a dream come true

Start with a 1 km swim in London’s Hyde Park Serpentine followed by a 10 km run in Hyde Park on Friday morning. Competitors are then taken to Paris by Eurostar and the next day complete the 80 kilometre cycle stage. The event is concluded by a g...ala evening in the Euro Disney complex. The return to London is on Sunday.
Half distances can also be catered for!
