answersingenesis.org has a wonderful rationale behind why the bible talks about unicorns... "The absence of a unicorn in the modern world should not cause us to
doubt its past existence. (Think of the dodo bird. It does not exist
today, but we do not doubt that it existed in the past.)"
How can one debate mentality like this?

Once
again, I have come to the conclusion that the real religious people are
those who have read very little or nohing from the "sacred books" and
probably don't even want to know more. Here's a link to a site where
you can find some quite outrageous laws, especially in the
Deuteronomy... An...d we can't say they are taken out of the context, because there isn't such a context that would excuse them.
