Thanks Katherine and Serena. What are some ways for nonprofits to evaluate a writer's voice and for freelancers to show that they can capture it?

As a writer, it's all about resonance. I can put that extra "spark" in a press release or a promotional brochure if I resonate with what my client is marketing. When a client initially approaches me with a marketing project, I'll take the time to discuss it to see if we're a good "fit". If we are, we both know it. If there's no resonance for me, then I don't take on the project.

A few staff contributed and I'm blanking on one song but James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend" was a great suggestion.

In other Arc news, I'm excited to say our national chapter sent out a rebranding survey to Arc execs and development/communications staff, the results of which will be unveiled at the national convention in November. We're on our way to greater recognition!

Our mission is to initiate and encourage the intergenerational cultural exchange between Elders and Youth to share language, customs, traditions and be...liefs. While we have had our first three successful gatherings sharing drumming, cedar crafting and preparing for the 2010 Canoe Journey to the Makah Nation, we hope to find more Elders and Youth who would like to get involved. Thus far, it has been primarily family and friends. How can I get the word out to Natives who would like to participate in this free, monthly cultural exchange?
