Gen Con Indy 2010 Marketing Fellowship First Round Award Winners
This year at Gen Con Indy, we have added an area specifically dedicated to showcasing companies that are new to Gen Con; it is called Entrepreneurs' Avenue. This area allows companies that might not have otherwise been able to try exhibiting at The Best Four Days In Gaming a chance to do so, with a smaller up-front cost to attend.
To encourage and reward deeper engagement in marketing their presences at Gen Con, we are awarding marketing fellowships to carefully chosen companies that have submitted A+ level marketing plans demonstrating their preparation for attendance at Gen Con in August. Companies that are recipients of a fellowship are upgraded from a standard 100 square foot booth, to a 200 square foot endcap booth.
There will be a total of six marketing fellowships awarded in 2010. The next announcement will be in April, and the final fellowships will be awarded in May.
Please join us in congratulating our first two recipients of a Gen Con Indy Marketing Fellowship!
NeonCon In 2007, a small, local RPGA-centric event was relaunched as Neoncon, a regional, multi-genre gaming convention. From its inception, Neoncon’s primary mission has been “to elevate the discussion of tabletop gaming” and help bring it out of the pop-culture “basement” in which too often lingers in the broader public mind. Supported by local monthly game days and growing number of key publishers and distributors, Neoncon has steadily grown with each year of operation. With the 2009 show, Neoncon introduced GamesU, the Social Games Unconference; itself a most tangible expression of Neoncon’s mission.

Kobold Quarterly has been a fan favorite for devotees of D&D and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game since its launch in May 2007. The "Small but Fierce" RPG magazine -- helmed by former Dragon editor Wolfgang Baur -- features full-color artwork and articles by some of the industry's most talented designers and authors, including Monte Cook, Ed Greenwood, Skip Williams, Jeff Grubb, John Wick, and Tim and Eileen Connors. Kobold Quarterly won the 2009 ENnie Awards Gold medal for Best Writing and Silver medals for Best Accessory and Best Website.
