The passing of Nora Bredes is a loss not only for all Democrats but for every New Yorker whose causes she championed.  Nora was a leader, an advocate and an inspiration to so many.  She fought for Women's rights and she worked toward her goal of seeing more women engaged in the pursuit of elective office.  Nora may no longer be with us but her leadership endures and her cause continues.
