Oatmeal Pie (Mock Pecan)

 ¼ cup butter or margarine

½ cup white granulated sugar

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground cloves

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup light corn syrup

3 eggs

1 cup quick cooking oats

1 (9 inch) pie shell


1. Cream together margarine and sugar. Stir in cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Stir in corn syrup. Add eggs one at a time,

stirring after each addition until blended. Stir in oats. Pour filling into pie shell.


2. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) for about 1 hour, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
