Good Omens for World Book Night!

January 10, 2012 at 4:59am

World Book Night represents the most ambitious and far-reaching celebration of adult books and reading ever attempted in the UK and Ireland.

World Book Night 2012 will be held on the 23rd April and they’re once more looking for 20,000 volunteer givers. This year, givers will be distributing 24 copies each (480,000 books) with the further books distributed directly to prisons and libraries through charitable partners.

2012 is the first year that a Terry Pratchett book has been featured, when signing up select GOOD OMENS as the book you want to share. Unbelievably the quota for givers of Good Omens is not yet full! Introduce other readers to the world of Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman.

Reading changes lives and at the heart of World Book Night lies the simplest of ideas and acts - that of putting a book into another person’s hand and saying ‘this one’s amazing, you have to read it’.

Giver applications are open until the 31st January 2012 so sign up now to be part of WBN 2012 -
