We saw the harmony of „Water and light” thousand times in nature photoes and films. Now we would like to discovere and experience this harmony of nature together with our Polish and Romanien partners.1 On the water: getting closer to water creatures by canoing ont he river, knowing by experiencing it’s inhabitants and thousands of miracles.2 With the help of light: the art of photography will help us to guide our attention consciuosly.We will spend seven days together int the Szigetköz. And we will do canoe trips on the mighty riverbranches of the Danube during this week.In the environmentally friendly campsite and in it’s beautiful neighbourhood and during the canoe trips we will discovere and know the unique waterlife of the Szigetköz. During our workshops experimental and other informal ways of learning will take place.

We will draw people’s attention to the dangers that threaten these habitats: Each group will present an example from their countries that illustrate what dangers can people cause to nature.Our aim is to be able to start new lifestiles that protect our vulnerable water resources.The environmentally friendly campsite and it’s beautiful natural environment will bring closer the environmentally conscious lifstile to every partecipant.

During the handicraft workshops we can develop our creativity and manual skills by making our own articles for personal use (wodden spoons, plates, villow baskets etc.)

Each group will also have the opportunity to take photoes of the most beautiful moments of nature, and to observe it’s concealed wonders.

One of our aim is to become even more open and sensitive to the beauty of nature with the help of the camera.Groups will show their photoes to each other. Best pictures will be enlarged so that each group will be able to make a future presentation of this project combined with a photo exibition in their countries.

Throughout different sport activities, games, and dances we will get to know each other and each other’s culture in a cheerful friendly way. During the intercultural evenings every partecipating group will have the opportunity to present something from their countries (national food, music, games, dances, and pictures, videos etc.)

After this youth exchange programme we would like to say good bye as new friends who are not only nature lovers and who besides having learned how to live a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestile, are all willing to make efforts to protect these values!Therefore during this week we would also like to plan a new future project together, which will hopefully be a worthy continuation of „Water and light”.
