Hi, Society! Design Studio: Is there anything better than personalized service?
As I was going through yesterday’s orders, I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar name on the list. An old friend of mine from George Mason placed an order for a set of calling cards. I was happy to add the initials “M.D.” after his last name, as he recently graduated from medical school. (Congrats again!)
As I was designing his cards, I noticed he omitted a comma between his last name and “M.D.” The comma really made the design work better, so I shot him an email to okay the change: Comma or no comma?
“Comma,” he replied. He went on to say:
“As surprised as your are to see my name in your order listings, am I also to get such personalized service. I thought quite possibly you may have a company in India or Indonesia working for you and the whole production automated.”
I laughed out loud when I read this! I suppose I could farm orders out to … elsewhere … and I’m sure some other companies do, but Hi, Society! Design Studio doesn’t. And we never will.
I personally review, design, and perfect every order that comes in the door. Why? Three reasons:
- We value delivering both excellent products and customer service.
- Because this isn’t some mega-corporation run by faceless names and nameless faces.
- And because you deserve it.
