From Shane Vander Hart: We'd like you to consider being a table host for our banquet.
Hey our banquet is coming up pretty quick, time flies!
Our annual fall banquet will be held this year on Thursday, October 1 at 6:30p. We will be having it at Foxboro located at 6165 NW 86th St. in Johnston. We will have Mojos cater the event. Dr. Brian Brown who is the assistant track & field coach at Drake and Director of the Drake Relays will be our keynote speaker. This is a free banquet (though we do have a donor challenge).
We are currently looking for table hosts for tables of eight, and I wanted to know if you would be interested in hosting?
What table hosts do:
You can give me a call at (515) 321-5077 or email me at shanev@serveouryouth.org to let me know or if you have questions.
Yours in Christ,
Shane Vander Hart
Director of Ministries & Volunteer Development
P.S. If you have already heard from me about this via some other method of communication, please disregard and forgive me for the duplication. I just want to make sure I have my bases covered.
Our goal is 38 tables with hosts. If my math is correct that will bring our potential attendance (provided every table is filled) to 304. The room has a capacity of 350 so we can have more than 38 table hosts ;).

What table hosts do:
- Work to fill a table of eight (you already have a 1-2 head start). We’ll give you more invitations than what you need in case you have people who can’t attend.
- Follow-up on invitees that you haven’t heard back from.
- Hosting a table doesn’t mean you pay for people (again this is a free event).
- You either make sure those of your friends who attend RSVP to us or you contact us.
- Welcome your guests at your table when the arrive.
- Help pass out information and pledge cards at your table.
- Collect donations and pledge cards at your table and return to designated location.
- Enjoy good food and fellowship.
