Nancy's Coffee: Storing Your Coffee...

Storing Your Coffee...
Just a little information for all you folks out there. We constantly get asked what the best way to store your coffee is and everyone is surprised at the answers we give! Here's what we tell them...

Do not store your coffee in the refrigerator. Coffee is a very porous substance and will absorb odors and flavors of other items in your fridge. Probably the way most people out there store their coffee and it's the worst!

Coffee in the freezer is just as bad! If you buy coffee in bulk, this is fine to do if you want to freeze coffee that you won't be drinking for about 2 weeks. However, do not put your coffee in the freezer, take it out, and put it back in. Water molecules bond to the coffee in the freezing process and constant thawing and refreezing can diminish the body, flavor, and strength of your morning joe!

The best way to keep your beans or grounds is simply to keep it in an air tight container at room temperature. No joke. If you have a solid color container, it's all the better.

Remember our little advice and you're guaranteed to have fresh coffee just like you love it!
