The Urban Sherpa: Free E-book

Free E-book
Thank you.

If people didn't read this blog, then I wouldn't write this blog. (Well, maybe that's untrue: I might write it even if no one was reading it—but it would be a whole lot more pathetic that way...)

So, thank you.

As a (too-small) token of my appreciation, I've bundled up some of my recent favorite pieces from 2009 into this e-book of recent fiction, and I want you to have it.

Unfortunately, e-books are still a little weird and confusing, and sometimes it's hard to know what to do with them. I'm making this one available in a variety of formats, which should work on your Amazon Kindle, your Sony Digital Reader, your Plastic Logic eReader (if you're lucky enough to have a prototype), your iPhone, your BlackBerry, or your whatever.

* EPUB (Sony, Plastic Logic, Bookworm)
* MOBI (Kindle, Mobipocket)
* PDF (Adobe Acrobat)
* HTML

If you want to have a look but don't have an e-book reader, I encourage you to try the Bookworm ePub Reader, an excellent, free online resource provided by O'Reilly Publishing and Threepress Consulting, Inc. If you want something you can install on your desktop, try Stanza.

Finally, for those of you who are interested in this sort of thing (who isn't, right?): these e-books were made using Calibre, free software develeoped by Edgewall Software.

"Recent Fictions" on the Kindle.
