Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. Promotion Period: The Anvil Knitwear College Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on August 21, 2009 and ends on September 5, 2009 (“Promotion Period”).
2. How To Enter: During the Promotion Period, visit the Anvil Knitwear table at the participating college event (see table below for details and participating colleges), where there will be Official Entry forms available (while supplies last). On an Official Entry Form or plain 3" x 5" paper, hand print your first name, last name, email address, date of birth and the participating college that you are enrolled in and deposit your entry into the designated entry box. Entries must be deposited by the end of the event at your school as indicated in the table below. Entries must be complete to be eligible. Mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted. Sweepstakes ends at the end of each event as indicated in the table below:

3. Random Drawing: Five (5) Grand Prize Winners will be selected on or about September 14, 2009, in five (5) separate random drawings (one winner per drawing), from among all eligible entries received from each event. Drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received from each event. Prizes will be awarded and winners will be notified by email. Entries from each event will not be carried forward for other event’s drawings. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. Prizes: Grand Prize (5 – 1 per event): $500 awarded in the form of a check. No substitution or transfer of prize by a winner is permitted. All applicable federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Limit one prize per person/household.
5. First Prize Winner Determination, First Prize and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): The first 750 eligible entrants at each event who complete all required entry information, will receive a First Prize of an organic t-shirt (ARV $12.00 each). First Prize winner determination will be made by Sponsor, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to the winner determination. First Prizes will be provided to the entrant on site upon verification of eligibility. Odds of winning a First Prize depend on the time/date an eligible entrant enters and the total number of eligible entries received. All First Prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received.
6. Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry, and a student enrolled at a participating college (per rule #2). Employees of Anvil Knitwear Inc., Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws.
7. General Rules: Return of a Grand Prize notification may result in disqualification and an alternate may be selected. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agencies to use winner’s name, biographical information, pictures/portraits, likeness and/or voice, for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. BY ACCEPTING A PRIZE, THE WINNERS AGREE THAT ANVIL KNITWEAR, INC., DON JAGODA ASSOCIATES, INC., THEIR AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND ALL OF THEIR RESPECTIVE SHAREHOLDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND ASSIGNS, MEMBERS, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES OR PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Sweepstakes (or any event in the Sweepstakes) or disqualify entrant if fraud or misconduct destroy the integrity of the Sweepstakes or if any of the above events are cancelled (those corresponding prizes would go unawarded), as determined solely by Sponsor. Attempt by an individual to deliberately undermine legitimate operation of Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal/civil laws and should such attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent of the law. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical/other error in printing of offer/Sweepstakes administration/prize announcement or for any liability for damage resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes.
