Allure Leather:From Bondage to the Bedroom, It’s about Breaking Taboos

The funny thing about taboos is their almost pre-determined lifespan. Unlike trends, taboos are finite, typically sworn off by a stronger rebellious desire. In short, taboos are born to die. But what one-generation will shun as taboo, another will inevitably come to covet.
Along its long history as apparel, leatherwear went from being required as a natural necessity to being viewed as behind-closed-doors naughty—in essence, a taboo—in our society. Leather (along with it’s slicker relative PVC/ Polyvinyl Chloride) found a niche in the bondage lifestyles, popularized by a smaller community of fetish enthusiasts and catering to the slightly darker side of intimacy. But that was then.
