Project Footlight Festival: Performances Postponed

Performances Postponed
Dear Fans of Project Footlight:

Due to an outbreak of the flu among the production staff of Project Footlight and through no fault of Dixon Place or their staff, we regretfully (and tearfully) must postpone the performances of this year's show.  Given the short amount of time and the large amount of work involved in this conception of the project, we needed to have a lot of pieces in place and have the process run perfectly.  Unfortunately, this was not the case and we feel that a performance under these conditions would not honor the writers and their material, nor respect the talent of the directors and actors involved.

We have not given up on the idea of Project Footlight and of bringing together writers, actors, and directors to create a unique work of musical art in a condensed time period.  Experiments involve trial and error, and lessons that have value even if we did not achieve all of which we initially conceived.  We thank Dixon Place for all of their support and are sorry that the project will not be able to contribute to the new theater this year.  And we thank you, our audience and champions, so much for understanding and for your steadfast belief in the project.

Stay tuned for a better, stronger, faster Project Footlight.
