Charles Gibson: Better Late Than Never
Better Late Than Never
Hello Facebookers,
About the time I published my last post in February, it was Groundhog Day. Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter. What he didn’t predict was four more months of the Presidential Primary contest. Back when Phil saw his shadow, there were six Republicans and Democrats running. Now there are only three. Senator McCain has clinched the Republican nomination while Senators Clinton and Obama duke it out on the Democratic side.
There are still 10 contests to go between now and June. The next one is a big one…in Pennsylvania on April 22nd. The week before that, we at ABC News are joining the National Constitution Center and our locally owned Philadelphia station WPVI to host a 90-minute debate between Senators Clinton and Obama. It will be held on April 16th at the National Constitution Center. George Stephanopoulos and I will be the moderators, and we hope it will give you an opportunity to hear the candidates address the critical issues facing our country.
Thanks all for your comments and questions. I love getting your feedback and am moved by your passion for the future of our nation.
All best,
Charlie
