In the name of God, the Compassionate and the Merciful
The news of arrests of our dear brothers Dr. Seyyed Alireza Beheshti and Morteza Alviri, heads of the special committee investigating the abuse of victims of the recent events, and General Moghaddam head of the Veterans’ Committee of my election campaign, have created a wave of shock and ambiguity in [the hearts of] those faithful to the Islamic establishment. They have been imprisoned while they are only guilty of following the revolution path, defending the serving of justice for the bloods that were unjustly shed and helping the families of the innocents that were imprisoned after the election. They are now in prison while those responsible for the recent disasters are free and the authorities are claiming that they will surely investigate the committed crimes. Are you going to do this by destroying the evidence of the crimes and imprisoning those who were following up on the victims’ rights?!
People’s dignities are protected in their children. Now people are asking those who claim to guard the Islamic Republic that how they honoured the respect of the family of the innocent martyr of the revolution, Ayatollah Dr. Beheshti?
It is obvious that your efforts to restore peace to the society are not going to be responded wisely. Dangerous days are ahead. Arresting individuals like Dr. Beheshti is a sign that forecasts more dangerous events. But the evil is doomed and what benefits people will remain. Maintain your calm and awareness. The new series of events that have started, same as the other pathetic actions these days, won’t bring anything for your opponents but damage. Be careful not to let them provoke you and while destroying themselves not to harm your home and country.
I specially offer my condolences for the defamation of the innocent Beheshti to the children of that martyr, his students, followers, admirers and all devotees of the revolution and Islam; and pray to God that this sorrow which has been created in the hearts of our people would be compensated by enduring the honour of this family.

خبر دستگیری برادران عزیز آقایان دكتر سید علیرضا بهشتی و مهندس مرتضی الویری مسئولان كمیته پیگیری امور آسیب دیدگان حوادث ایام اخیر و سردار مقدم مسئول كمیته ایثارگران ستاد انتخاباتی اینجانب موجی از شگفتی و ابهام در دلبستگان به نظام اسلامی ایجاد كرده است. آنان به بند كشیده شده اند در حالی كه جرمی جز پیروی از راه انقلاب و دفاع از اجرای عدالت در مورد خونهای بهناحق ریخته شده و كمك به خانواده بی گناهانی كه پس از انتخابات به زندان افتاده اند ندارند. آنان اینک در زندان به سر میبرند در حالی که عاملان فجايع اخير آزادند و مسئولان ادعا ميكنند حتما به جنایاتي كه رخ داده است رسیدگی خواهند كرد. آیا با از بین بردن اسناد جنایت و در بند کردن کسانی که حقوق قربانيان را پیگیری میکردند این کار را انجام ميدهيد؟
المرء یحفظ فی ولده. حرمت انسانها در فرزندانشان پاسداری میشود. مردم اینك از مدعیان پرچمداری انقلاب اسلامی می پرسند حرمت شهید مظلوم انقلاب آیت الله دکتر بهشتی را در خاندان او چگونه رعایت کردهاید؟

کاملا پیداست که تلاشهای شما برای بازگرداندن آرامش به جامعه قرار نیست با پاسخی خردمندانه روبرو شود. روزهايي خطير در پيشرو قرار گرفته است. دستگيري كسانی چون دكتر بهشتي يك نشانه است كه از حوادثي سهمگينتر خبر ميدهد. اما باطل رفتني است و آن چيزي كه به مردم سود ميرساند باقي ميماند. و اما ما ينفع الناس فيمكث في الارض. آرامش و هوشياري خود را حفظ كنيد. سلسله حوادث جديدي كه آغاز شده است به مانند ديگر تحركات كور اين ايام براي مخالفان شما جز خسارت باقي نخواهد گذاشت. مراقب باشيد كه آنها شما را تحريك نكنند و به هنگام نابود كردن خود به كاشانه و كشورتان لطمه نزنند. ا
اينجانب به ویژه هتك حرمتي كه از بهشتي مظلوم شده است را به فرزندان آن شهيد و شاگردان و پيروان و دوستداران او و تمامي دلبستگان به انقلاب و اسلام تسليت ميگويم و از خداوند آرزومندم ضايعهاي كه با اين عمل در قلب مردم ما ايجاد شده است با جاودانه كردن آبروی این خاندان جبران شود.
