SCSU Office of Information Technology: New OIT Service Centers at BU, JE, and DA
New OIT Service Centers at BU, JE, and DA
Effective August 31, OIT will open three additional satellite service centers. These service centers, along with the main service center, Help Desk, will provide technical support coverage for the campus community. All four locations are staffed with trained help desk consultants. The hours and locations are as followed:
(1) OIT Help Desk (Office Building 1): 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (M-Th); 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (F)
(2) Buley Service Center (BU 409): 10:00 am – 8:00 pm (M-Th); 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (F); 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (S)
(3) Jennings Service Center (JE 130): 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (M-Th); 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (F)
(4) Davis Service Center (DA 220A): 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm (M-Th)
Due to security concerns, equipment can only be dropped off at the OIT Help Desk in OB-1. As a reminder, There are several ways to obtain technical support:
(a) Telephone & Email – You can reach Help Desk or Service Centers at extension 25123 or helpdesk@southernct.edu.
(b) In person - You may visit one of the locations listed above.
(c) Instant Messaging - Tech Talk will connect you directly with a Help Desk consultant for instant assistance and consultation. Tech Talk is available 8:00am - 8:00pm (M-Th), 8:00am – 4:00pm (F), 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (S). You may access Tech Talk on the OIT website: http://oit.southernct.edu/.
