Robert Pierre: The Labor Day Murder Mystery!

The Labor Day Murder Mystery!
Hey Guys! What’s up? I hope you all had an awesome Labor Day weekend. It was so nice to have a three-day weekend. I really needed a break from school!

This weekend was filled with exciting stuff! On Saturday, I was invited to a Murder Mystery night with eight of my friends. We all dressed up in 1920's costumes and came as various characters all from a small theater in England... actors, stagehands, director, owner... who were gathering together to celebrate the end of a great show and the mysterious murder of our lead male actor at the theater, "Vincent Royle." It was so much fun. Each of us was given information about our character, as well as incriminating information about others, throughout the night. I was put in quite a dilemma when I was instructed to drop dead at the end of the appetizer course... but I did it! Stood up, gasped, grabbed at my collar, choked and dropped to the floor. At that point, I was carried off into another room and when I got there, to my surprise, I was transformed from my old blackmailing Sterling Braydon to the outgoing Inspector Blewitt. Personally, with that last name I didn’t think I had much hope as an Inspector. I did my best with an English accent, but I think it slipped in and out a lot, a nasty mix of English, French and Indian, I'm afraid... It was tons of fun! In the end, the murderer was arrested (who happened to be one of the girls). It was preposterous! Sorry... my whole 1920's English figurative speech hasn’t worn off yet. What I meant to say was, we never suspected her to be the murderer. The night was awesome!

I hope you have all had as fun of a weekend as I have. Write me back and let me know what you did over the holiday.

Peace,

Robert
