Roanoke Region of Virginia: Radical Reels Coming to Roanoke

Radical Reels Coming to Roanoke

Those seeking adrenaline-pumping thrills – without worrying about hang time – will want to hightail it to the Banff Radical Reels Film tour stopping in Roanoke.

Films from the festival, named after the famed western Canadian mountain resort, feature jaw-dropping adventure sports videos that put you right into the action. It’s the only Virginia stop for the film tour.

Radical Reels will be shown at 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 30 at Mill Mountain Theatre in downtown Roanoke. It’s part of the inaugural Get Outside Expo featuring the region’s leading outdoor enthusiasts and businesses making the Roanoke Region a growing outdoor destination.

“Radical Reels features some outdoor adventures people only dream of,” says Pete Eshelman, director of outdoor branding for the Roanoke Regional Partnership. “It’s also a great way to bring people together and showcase some of the adventures available right in our backyard as we continue to build an outdoor brand.”

Tickets for the expo and film are $12 and can be purchased here. Those attending will be eligible for prizes, including a trip to Nepal.
