Every year, thousands of birds pass in the Sagres Peninsula, during their migration to south. Birds of pray, seabirds, passerines, among others, enhance the biological richness of this region, one of the most important in Portugal.

Between August and November more than 150 bird species can be seen here. In October, the bird abundance reaches higher values and that's why the Vila do Bispo council and several other partners prepared this Festival!

Several activities are waiting for you in order to show you the amazing region of Sagres and it's natural value.

This is the first ever Sagres Birdwatching Festival, which is free for all visitors.

Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel has created a special rate of 139€ per night on B&B basis at Hotel Martinhal for the period of the festival (a minimum stay of two nights is required).
