Hello members,

A quick update on the NPA AGM, held at the Vancouver Museum on October 14.
We had a pretty good turnout for an off-election year with 40 to 50 people in the room.
The members accepted the recommendation of the Board to drop the Membership fees in half. A surprise amendment from the floor removed the junior and seniors rates, so we now have one rate for all members: $10 per year or $25 for three years.

Because we had fewer nominations for directors than positions available, the three members standing for the board were acclaimed: me (Michael Davis), Jeevan Khunkhun and our new director Simon Jackson.

We had a number of Directors leave for various personal reasons: Melissa De Genova, Meredith Ladner, Brian De Muy, Yvonne De Valone, Victoria Mendes, Naresh Shukla.

The new President and executive officers will be elected at the first meeting of the board on November 4.
