Jas Brar Participates in Roundtable with Minister of State (Science & Technology)

Today, Entripy President and CEO Jas Brar is participating in a roundtable discussion with the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science & Technology). The discussion is regarding regional economic development in South Ontario. Jas Brar has been chosen from this region to attend this focused discussion.

On August 13, 2009, the Government of Canada announced the creation of a new regional economic development agency to address the needs of Southern Ontario. This new agency, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), will co-ordinate federal programming to support economic development, innovation, and diversification throughout the region. It will help Southern Ontario communities, workers, and businesses position themselves to take advantage of new economic opportunities.

Recently, the Agency launched the first call for proposals for its core program, the Southern Ontario Development Program. For this first intake process, $40 million has been allocated.
