**DALLAS / FORTH WORTH AREA**

October 24, 2009 —DINOSAUR VALLEY STATE PARK— Haunted Halloween Carnival — Prepare to be scared as you take a haunted hike into the woods where you will encounter scary surprises around every turn (not recommended for children under 10 years old). Come to the amphitheater to hear Tales of Terror Storytelling. Take the little ones to the Park Store where we'll have face painting, a Dino Dig, costume contest and a live bird show. There's sure to be fun for the whole family at this annual event! Accessible for the mobility, visually and hearing impaired. Park Store events 6-10 p.m., hike, 8-10 p.m. and storytelling every 30 minutes 8-10 p.m.; tickets $5 per person, available at the Park Store. October 24, 2009 —PURTIS CREEK STATE PARK — Halloween Carnival — Bring the family for a hauntingly good time at the carnival with activities, games and prizes. Take a hayride to the campground then trick or treat at the campsites marked with orange pumpkins. 6-10 p.m.; tickets 25 cents for games, 50 cents for hayride, park entrance fee waived for those participating in the Halloween events. October 25, 2009 — GUADALUPE RIVER STATE PARK — Halloween in the Park — It's that time of year again for our Friends group annual Halloween in the Park event. Put on your best costume, load up your family and come out to the park for an evening of fun, stories, food and fright of the fun kind.
