September 28th Web Design Basics Workshop
Attention CCT Alumni and Current Students, Matthew Marco is offering a Web Design Basics Workshop in Car Barn 311 on Monday from 7-9.
The workshop will cover:
- Tools: text editor, graphics editor, web browser + extensions.
- Markup fundamentals: block and inline HTML elements, structuring the page.
- Making it look good: introduction to CSS, optimizing graphics.
- QA and Q&A.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own computers and use the Firefox browser with the following extensions installed:
- Web Developer Toolbar
- Firebug
- ColorZilla
- MeasureIt
By the end of the workshop, attendees should have a feel for HTML and
CSS structure and be comfortable making basic editions to HTML or CSS
documents and managing source code in pre-existing websites.
