Silkin Management Group: A NEW APPROACH TO SOME UPCOMING BLOGS

A NEW APPROACH TO SOME UPCOMING BLOGS
I’ve decided to take a new approach to our Silkin Management Group blogs for the next few weeks. In the past 12 months or so, I’ve written a variety of articles on various points concerning practice management, and the marketing and managing a business of any kind. Feedback from both Silkin and non-Silkin clients has been good in terms of finding the information useful.

I’ve also presented a series of articles written by Bruce Wiseman on the global financial scene. Although Silkin Management Group does not advise its clients on large picture investments as effected by international financial policy (or possibly more aptly worded, after reading these articles, as “shenanigans”), we do feel it important to keep Silkin clients and other readers of our blogs educated on what we feel are extremely important matters going on that have consequences to both our business and personal lives.

Given that there is a tremendous amount of activity going on that can effect small businesses and groups, I feel it is important to keep any readers of this blog, whether a Silkin Management Group client or not, aware of what is going on in the news every day that may produce some sort of result on the management of our businesses. I also want my employees, especially some of my key staff such as our consultants, to be more aware of these matters and also for my consultants to impart their management knowledge to blog readers.

To that end, I have asked various staff to listen and read closely as much daily media as they can stand and pick out some key issues and write up their viewpoint and comments on these issues that hopefully will engage our readers. There is no shortage of issues going on in the nation that are or will have dramatic impact on the management of a business. Heath Care reform and small business lending are but two things that have effected and will continue to have an effect on Silkin clients and all small businesses. And I have asked our consultants, if they are not commenting on a news worthy issue, to write some management information that our readers would find helpful.

So keep an eye out on our blogs and please comment on them as we very much want your opinion on these matters.

President, Silkin Management Group
