Sustainability, for many, it’s not just a buzz word, it’s a way of life. Whether it’s your way of life or you want to see what all of the buzz is about, you have a great opportunity to see an entire exhibition titled “Defining Sustainability” at the world renowned ASU Art Museum beginning this week and continuing to February of 2010.

Sustainable tip #1 – Take the Valley Metro Light Rail with your friends and family to the 3rd Street and Mill Avenue station, then head south through Downtown Tempe to the ASU Art Museum at 10th Street.

In Defining Sustainability, art and the museum are catalyst and site for campus and community members to gather and further the conversation about sustainability. While many of the projects focus on this place, they have implications for art, museums and urban centers throughout the country and the world.

So, head on over to the Museum and check out this cool exhibit and all of the other great community resources available to you at the museum. If you are driving, free parking is available. Look outside the Ceramics Research Center, on the Northeast corner of Mill Ave and 10th Street, for the museum-marked parking spaces. Just don’t let the green folks know that you didn’t ride the light rail to get there…
