NASA Dryden: Recruitment of 2010 Grads & Recent Grads with Severe Disabilities
The NASA Dryden Flight Research Center is soliciting resume packages from highly qualified individuals with severe disabilities for positions in engineering, accounting, budgeting, contracting, human resources, and related fields who have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher or are in the process of completing one.

Flight Test and Flight Operations Engineers: GS-854/855/861–7/9


Aerodynamics Branch (RA): Leads the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of all aerodynamic flight research experiments conducted at Dryden.
Controls and Dynamics Branch (RC): Provides research engineering expertise in the analysis, design, development, integration and testing of flight control systems for flight vehicles.
Flight Systems Branch (RF): Responsible for the design, integration and test of flight-critical hardware and software systems.
Instrumentation Branch (RI): Responsible for the design, development, fabrication, installation and calibration of instrumentation systems for flight research vehicles at Dryden.
Propulsion and Performance Branch (RP): Conducts flight research in many aspects of air-breathing and rocket propulsion, from conventional turbojets to scramjet engines.
Aerostructures Branch (RS): Conducts analytical and experimental investigations in structural and aerodynamic loads, aeroelasticity, and aerodynamic heating.
Systems Engineering Branch (ME): Develops simulation to show how research aircraft will react to various flight conditions. Also develops display systems for monitoring aircraft in flight.
Operations Engineering Branch (OE): Responsible for all modification to Dryden's flight research vehicles, and responsible for the safety of flight and in-flight mission control.

Qualification Requirements for Engineering Positions:


GS-7 Basic Education Requirement: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major study in Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Astronautics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering. U.S. Citizen and 3.0 GPA.
GS-9 Basic Requirement: A master’s degree in one of the above majors or a bachelor’s degree and at least one year professional specialized experience at the GS-7 level.

Accounting, budgeting, contracting, human resources, and related fields: GS-7/9


Qualification Requirements for Business Administration Positions:


GS-7 Accounting: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major with at least 24 hours of accounting.
GS-7 Budgeting: A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
GS-7 Contracting: A bachelor’s degree in contracts or other related business field.
GS-7 Human Resources and other related fields: A bachelor’s degree in business, liberal arts, or related field.

U.S. Citizenship and 3.0 GPA are required for all positions.
