Okay, maybe not a gazillion, but how does ONE BILLION per day grab you? It’s incredible, but true: YouTube now serves over a billion videos per DAY! I don’t do math, but according to Mashable.com, that’s at least 11,574 views per second, 694,444 views per minute, and 41,666,667 views per hour. I used to joke that YouTube was the Wal-Mart of video hosting sites, but maybe now we should call them the McDonalds of video.
What do these staggering figures mean to you? It means you need to fire up that webcam if you want a piece of the action! Online Video is way past the fad stage, and has become a revolution. Fortunately, all you need is an Internet connection, a webcam and a free account at YouTube to get in on the action.
