BNI SOARAWAYS BLOG - Meeting Review - 6th November 2009
Good afternoon all.
Hope you've all had a nice weekend.
BUSINESS LEADER OF THE WEEK "F" for Henry Ford - "If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person's point of view and see things from that person's angle as well as from your own.
"Treat BNI like a club and you may make some friends, however if you treat it like a business it will make you some serious money!"
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEETING
Referrals: 31
Attendance: 96% - Good effort, but let's try and maintain 100% by ensuring if you're away book a sub in.
Power team huddle - let's get inviting the visitors we want
John Hall's 1:1 lucky dip - let's drive the 1 to 1's and ensure we're getting the best referrals for our Chapter.
EDUCATION SLOT - JOHN HALL - 1 to 1 Lucky Dip
John Hall's education slot was on the power of 1 to 1's. Let's ensure we have them booked in.
10 MINUTE SPEAKER - REBECCA CHAPMAN - ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SOLUTIONS
(EMS)
Rebecca gave a great insight into EMS and how her business can help all businesses with onsite reviews, training and development.
1. Bread and Butter: NVQ accredited training for companies ensuring they're up to date with legislation
2. Cream: Monthly support for a company - eg 5 days per month
3. Dream: An introduction into a supermarket group or retailer
GOALS FOR THE GROUP - OCTOBER - MARCH
To get to and maintain a "green" status for the chapter on the traffic
lights table.
How we do this is by ensuring that we are:
1) Achieving 100% attendance every week
2) Have at least 5 visitors per week
3) 2 referrals per member per week
The above 3 have been highlighted as we feel that these are the basic (easiest) things that we need to get right to ensure the Chapter is going in the right direction.
TRAINING AND EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENTS - ANDREW MILLS
Andrew reminded us of the following training workshop:-

Friday 20th November - Midlands Members Day
Please let Andrew know that you are attending and he will book a place for you. (The laptop at the end of meeting is available for booking events)
I wish you all a valuable networking and profitable week ahead.
Kind regards
