Sands Beach Hotel in Lanzarote: Cruising into Lanzarote

Lanzarote has an international reputation and is a popular stop off on the cruise liner routes. Tuesday 27th October will go down as one of the busiest days for visitors at Arrecife port as 4 huge liners docked and 7,146 passengers spilled out to enjoy the delights of the capital city and surrounding areas.
With a day to explore, many will have made the short (20 minute) trip to Costa Teguise, home of Sands Beach Resort Hotel, and some of the nicest beaches on the island. Independence of the Seas led the way with 4,161 passengers and crew, Arcadia with 1,991 seemed almost a ferry beside the giant, Gran Voyager and Hanseatic also played their part in making this a special day for Puerto de los Marmoles.
The port authority pulled out the stops to ensure all the visitors had a memorable day, they put on 25 free buses to carry some of the passengers around locally. Lanzarote’s fame as a great family holiday island is about to be spread even further around the world as these happy passengers continue on their voyage.
