Winnetka Community House: Tim McCabe Named Executive Director

The Winnetka Community House is happy to announce that Tim McCabe has been named Executive Director. The WCH Board of Governors unanimously voted to approve the measure. “The entire board is excited to have Tim as the Executive Director,” said Board Chairman Rob Albertson.
McCabe was Assistant Director of the WCH for 12 years before being named Interim Executive Director in June as the Board worked through overall succession planning.
“Tim has a tremendous amount of support from everyone working at the Community House as well as the multiple groups that call our House home,” added Albertson. “We are grateful to have Tim’s leadership and experience as all of us look forward to our 100th anniversary in 2011.”
As Assistant Director, McCabe handled much of the financial and operational workings of the WCH, and will now also serve in many ways as the public face of the organization.
As the WCH gears up for its winter registration, McCabe says “I’m excited about all the new programs we’ve put in place, from dance to ceramics to full-family winter programs as part of the Woman’s Board ‘House Production.’ I’m leading a fantastic, well-oiled machine here, but we continue to take a fresh look at all we provide for the community.”
McCabe added, “I look forward to continuing to build with the staff, Board of Governors, Women’s board, and volunteers as we strengthen and grow this Winnetka treasure that is the Winnetka Community House.”
