Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia: Help out fire damaged theatre in sister-city Seattle!
Help out fire damaged theatre in sister-city Seattle!
REPOSTING FROM A FRIEND IN SEATTLE - IF THIS HAPPENED TO A THEATRE IN OUR CITY I'D HOPE OTHERS WOULD CARE ENOUGH TO HELP OUTSIDE THE CITY TOO...
Karen Zeller Lane: Yes, Taproot has suffered major damage to their building. While the fire gutted restaurants in their building, the theatre itself does have extensive damage - more than first suspected. Taproot owns the building and will sustain difficult times ahead ...beyond the clean up of the theatre itself. Need for a space for Enchanted April is needed immediately. But, the link I am posting is to Taproot's DONATION link on their site. Any support is much appreciated: helping find a venue, moral support, and donations. Let's rally people!
UPDATE:
Karen Zeller Lane: 20/40 Campaign for Taproot. As Taproot's street address is 204 N 85th, I would like to suggest a show of support by the arts community by way of donations in the amount of $20.40. If you are anything like myself, and I reckon you are, I often think that what I can give is so little. BUT if hundreds gave $20.40 each that can add up to a stinking lot fast. And, as our network of a caring arts community extends well beyond this region, as evidenced by a cross post by a friend at the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, just think of the difference we truly ALL could make together. If you are able, please feel free to give more.
