BushwickBK.com: Bushwick Culture Halloween Picks! 10/29/09

Happy Halloween!
There is so much going on in Greater Bushwick there is literally no reason to go anywhere else this weekend. No kidding. Last year was pretty amazing and the neighborhood was filled with awesome costumes. It looks like this year is going to be even more spectacular! The word on the street is that group costumes are where it’s at and I want to see at least one swarm of sexy bees.
Today, get going on your jack-o-lantern! The Bushwick Farmer’s Market and Linden-Bushwick Community Gardenpresent Pumpkinfest — with events and activities though Friday, including workshops (pumpkin carving, canning, composting), live music, and prizes!
Friday, the witching hour starts early!

Party experts The Danger&3rd Wardteam up for The Last Masquerade. "Over three dozen artists and performers will infuse these forgotten structures with a pre-apocalyptic fairy-tale built on music, mischief and a heavy dose of the unexpected." The "night begins at 260 Meserole" and continues to two other worlds/loft spaces above.
If you’re lookin’ for something new, go no further than Troutman. The Fort Galleryis: a "new underground venue (recently moved from the Bay area) with good bands that you won’t see on this side of the country for at least another year, and alcoholic prizes…" Featuring Saything (Oakland), Little Teeth (Absolutely Kosher Records, fun noisy pop), Phil and the Osophers (Factual Fabrications), Tastyville (x-No Doctors).
As Barrett Brownmentioned earlier this week (and srsly — read the whole thing if you haven’t) "Surreal Estate, the collective housing/event venue over on Thames, is throwing what will probably end up being a pretty sweet Halloween party."
