Brock Gill: i think her name was mrs. west…?
i have been doing 200 shows a year for over 12 years but today something happened that had never happened before.
i had just begun a show at a school. during my first trick i began to hear a voice. it became apparent that their was someone talking on a microphone. i looked over my shoulder and a lady, who i think may have been the principal, was talking into my microphone. she stopped the trick and told my guy john to turn off the music. she wanted to make a few announcements. this was the most awkward thing ever. i am standing here on stage with a lady behind me talking about who knows what. she wanted to tell the kids where to walk and then something else that i didnt understand. it was totally ridiculous. i went from mad to amazed in about 3 minutes. which is how long she talked. i had a smooth recovery that i pulled outta my sleeve after it was all over and continued the show. the truth is i love this kind of stuff. it gives me a challenge. it also makes the show exciting for me to try and make something funny out of situations.
anyway, i thought you might get a little kick out of my weird situation today.
here is a picture that captured my moment. well not me, but you get the idea.

by the way, the show tonight was awesome. 950 people came. it was great. tulsa was a fun city. i really need to do more shows in oklahoma. i like these people..
except when they talk into my microphone.
