CHRISTMAS SHOW PREVIEW
I am excited for my upcoming Christmas shows! They should be the most entertaining events I've ever done. In fact, there are several new things that make me laugh just thinking about them. However, the shows will be true to the "Christmas spirit" and put you in the mood for this special season.



LOVE STORY MEETS VIVA LA VIDA UPDATE
A few weeks ago we were able to hire a very well-connected person in Los Angeles to help in securing rights to this song. He is very confident he can pull it off. He has already made great progress in contacting both parties involved. His plan is to initially start simple (i.e. just the audio track) and then try to secure permissions for sheet music (for both "Love Story meets Viva la Vida" and "Love Story meets Love Story") and getting video back up on our YouTube channel. Thank you again for your incredible patience during this endeavor.



IS JON GOING TO PERFORM HIS YOUTUBE HIT?
As some of you may know, had I recorded "Love Story" and "Viva la Vida" as two separate songs there wouldn't be the prolonged permissions issue. As such, we have worked out a way to perform this song(s) live with a bit of humor and understanding on your behalf so that things are "legal" while we wait on final permissions. For those of you interested to know, the split happens before the transition, keeping the emotional climax in tact (and a bit of humor to boot). I hope to see you at one of my upcoming shows shown below, along with a few that are international.



TICKET GIVEAWAY FOR KINGSBURY HALL CHRISTMAS SHOW
Once again, as is customary with all of my large concerts, I give a pair of VIP tickets to two of you on my email list. We'll take the first two people to respond for each of the three Jon Schmidt Christmas shows and give them a pair of tickets on December 18-19th. To participate, email us at vip@jonschmidt.com. IN-HOME PERFORMANCES
Hey all you crazy college and young adult groups in Utah, how about a late night private home concert for your special gathering in December? If you can do it after one of my scheduled corporate gigs (i.e. late hour), I can drop the price to $500. TYPO IN HOLIDAY CATALOG
For those who may receive the Deseret Book Christmas Catalog, it mistakenly says "Bonus Tracks" includes "Love Story meets Viva la Vida." This has caused us much distress. Evidently our revised copy was not included when the catalog went to press. To clarify, the album includes "Loves Story meets Love Story."
