Since moving back here in January, I've been totally blown away by how many great Richmond bands have sprung up over the past few years. It is very exciting then to announce an all-Richmond bill for our reunion show. If you live in or near Richmond and would like to avoid the service charges, you can visit the National's box office at 708 E. Broad St. Monday - Friday between 10am and 3pm.
ABOUT TOURING:
We have gotten a number of questions about whether or not we will be making a reunion tour out of this, and the answer unfortunately is no. We just are not cut out for the touring world at this point in our lives. Wives and kids and dogs and cats and fun jobs make for homes that we like to be a part of, so the road does not hold as much romance as it once did. It's been so so so much fun to play together again, and I'm not saying we won't make new music together, but we will not be touring again in the traditional sense. That said, we're VERY excited to do this show, and we may play a couple select shows every few months, so if you'd like to see us, we hope you can make it to Virginia in July.
