Update on Casey via our President:
One of the vets actually got on the phone. When I told her who I was she said, "Casey is the nicest dog on the planet!" He is doing very well. He is using both back legs with help and neurologically he is much better than they had expected!!! His bruising and swelling is also much better. He does have some bloody stool but it could be because two different medications he received at other vet offices were used too close to each other may be causing it. They are going to watch that. Otherwise, he is eating and drinking well. He has both pins and plates but the pins will be removed after he is totally healed up. She also told me that he has a fractured K-9 tooth that will need to be extracted but they didn't want to do that with this surgery because they didn't want him out too long. They can do that when he gets neutered. They are keeping him until tomorrow but I told her that if they are still concerned with the bloody stool to keep him another day. Better to be safe than sorry.
