It's with much gusto and excitement that timbaObjects Company announces the release of our first open source project - an integrated Interswitch AEC Joomla! component.
Having needed to implement an Interswitch payment component for clients, we stumbled upon the AEC component which does the job well. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, we chose instead, to extend it and this result, we're making available today.
This component is in beta stage and we expect to have lots of feedback on its usage.
Joomla! is a content management system used in building dynamic, easy to manage web sites. A Joomla! based site can also implement membership-based subscriptions allowing certain content to be accessible only by registered members. One some web sites, you may want to charge your members for access to content or other privileged access.
The AEC Joomla! component implements all that you need to charge and bill users for membership on your web site. What it lacked was an Interswitch payment processor to enable the web site owner process online transactions involving the Interswitch ATM/Debit cards.
By downloading this component and installing it on your Joomla! based web site, you can restrict access on your web site and require users to pay for access to your site or certain areas of your site using other payment processors including Interswitch.
You will need your Interswitch WEBPay merchant and cad partner's ids for you to receive live payments (This can only be obtained from Interswitch). However, there's a demo mode which can be used to simulate payments.
We expect users of this component to have experience with installing and configuring Joomla components.
