People of all ages, genders, races, socioeconomic status, political ideologies and abilities are welcome to join us. You are all the 99%. This is a positive, collective public space.
Standard Public Use and Camping procedures in place: Leave it Cleaner and Better Taken Care of Than you Found it.
If you have specific health or mobility considerations, or medications that need to be monitored, please make sure you have checked in with InfoStation and Medical to make sure someone knows about them and those needs aren't neglected! If you are feeling uneasy for whatever reason, anxious, stressed out or just in general off-kilter in some way, See Medical.
Attention Smokers: Please be mindful of the fact that not all of us smoke-- little people's lungs are especially vulnerable, and little people fingers love to find litter. Collect your butts please. ;)
Reynolds Park is located in a residential neighborhood, that means that there are standard Noise Ordinances in place that we need to be mindful of. There are a few times during the day when it is NOT necessary to have a permit for Sound Amplification:
- 12:00pm - 1:30pm
- 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Outside of those times, the law requires that we keep the noise below 70 decibels. Any PA system, horns, drumming, Democrabeeps, or excessively loud shouting risks breaking the ordinances. Please be the neighbor you would want to have, we are ALL affected by the greed of Wall Street, including those who choose not to join us at any given moment.
It should go without saying that Reynolds Park is a public park, but that also means that other people regularly use it throughout the day, especially during day-light hours. There are neighborhood pick-up games and informal leagues that use the space that we want to be respectful of, and not all of these events can be planned around or known ahead of time. We wish to follow a "Yield the Field" policy towards our neighbors who wish to make use of it.
