Lake Effect (WUWM - Milwaukee Public Radio): Here's the Thing...(Wednesday edition)
Here's the Thing...(Wednesday edition)
We have an apology to make. This morning's first segment, which was to be on treating pain in kids with arm fractures with Dr. Amy Drendel, was unfortunately replaced by yesterday's A segment. Dr. Drendel's interview will air tonight at 11 PM, but we'll also re-air it next Thursday. Sorry if you were looking especially forward to that; we didn't mean to disappoint.
In studio today, Bonnie spoke with Michael Pink and Dennis Bueler from the Milwaukee Ballet about their million dollar gift and their strategic growth plans are for the future. Then, we bid medical contributor Shaili Jain good-bye; she's joining us for one last segment before she heads off to Palo Alto, CA. Later, sports contributor Howie Magner stops by. And author Barbara Ehrenreich talks with Bonnie about her new book, Bright-Sided: How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America. It's sure to be uplifting.
Up ahead on the show tomorrow, the Business Journal of Milwaukee's Mark Kass and Ulice Payne, the chairman of the Bradley Center's board, talk about the future of the venue, for this month's Down to Business segment. Then, Howie Magner will talk about the uphill battle the Buck's will face this year. Later, author Nancy Olmsted remembers her son, who was killed in Iraq, in her new book A Soldier's Words. Plus, Amanda Shalhoub gives us our Cafe Tonight preview.
And just to reiterate our apologies, our Thing of the Day...
Apologies again,
The Lake Effect staff
