Who should attend f8?
f8 is for developers, entrepreneurs and innovators who are connecting people across platforms and defining tomorrow’s websites, applications and devices.

When and where will the f8 conference be held?
f8 will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the San Francisco Design Center at 635 8th Street in San Francisco, California. See the agenda here.

How much does it cost to attend f8?
Registration fees are $325 USD/Professional, $50 USD/Student through March 21, 2010. If you register after March 21, the fee to attend increases to $425 USD/Professional, $75 USD/Student.

Are there any discounts available for attending f8?
The registration fee of $325 is the only discount we are offering general attendees until March 21. We also have a limited number of tickets for students for $50. Student ID will be required at f8 registration to pick up a student badge.

What forms of payment are accepted for registration?
Payment can be made with all major credit cards. Checks or cash cannot be accepted.

How can I print a receipt or confirmation of my registration?
You can print the email receipt sent to the email address you provide during registration. You can also return to the event registration page, connect, and return to the order confirmation to view your order details.

I’m a member of the press, how can I find more information?
If you are a reporter who covers topics related to the content that will be covered at f8, contact the f8 team at f8press@facebook.com for more information.

I can no longer attend f8. Will Facebook cancel my registration and send me a refund?
We’re sorry you can’t make it. Unfortunately, f8 registration fees are non-refundable. If you’d like to send a developer colleague in your place, follow instructions in the question below on transferring registration to a colleague at your company.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
The window for transferring a ticket has closed.

I’m not a US citizen or resident. Is a visa required to attend f8?
Please check with your local government on the documents required for your travel to the US. I'm traveling from outside the US. Will Facebook provide a visa letter to confirm I am attending f8?

You can receive a visa letter by email or fax by sending a request to f8@facebook.com -- please add “VISA LETTER” in the subject line and be sure to include your full name, confirmation number from registration and email or fax number.

When can I pick up my conference badge?
• Tuesday, April 20, from 6:00-8:00PM (early badge pick-up only)
• Wednesday, April 21 from 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Can I get into f8 without my name badge?
No, attendees are required to check in at Registration before attending the conference and must wear their badge at all times.

Can I bring a guest to f8?
Sorry, f8 attendance is restricted to registered attendees only.

What is appropriate attire for f8?

I’m arriving from outside the Bay Area. What airport is closest to the conference?
SF International Airport (SFO) is the closest airport to the f8 conference location. Oakland (OAK) and San Jose (SJC) are alternative airports within about 60 miles of the conference.

Is the f8 conference location accessible via public transportation?
Yes, the SF Design Center is accessible by public transportation and bicycles. Details are below.

BART: Exit at the Civic Center station. You can take the six block walk down Eighth Street to Brannan, or take the SF Muni 19 bus which drops you off right outside the Concourse. Additional BART options are available at 511.org.

BUS: From Fisherman's Wharf, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, or Downtown take the SF Muni 19. From the Marina, North Beach, Downtown, or Embarcadaro take the SF Muni 10(17th and DeHaro). Or for additional bus lines visit 511.org.

BICYCLE: From Market Street to the Concourse, there is a bike lane going down Eighth Street. There are bike racks on the Eighth Street side of the Concourse building.
Will parking be available?

Parking is limited to outdoor pay lots across the street from the Concourse on 8th and Brannan. The average cost is from $15-20 for a full day of parking. The Concourse parking lot will not be accessible to f8 attendees. We expect parking lots to fill early - if you must drive, please carpool.

Will Facebook provide airport or hotel shuttle services?
We have no plans to offer shuttle service but you can visit SFO’s transportation page to make airport shuttle arrangements: http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/tofrom/transp-serv/.
