WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Member of Parliament for Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia, Steven Fletcher, issued the following statement today on the passing of Harry Enns:

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a great Manitoban, Harry Enns.

“Harry was widely known as the ‘Dean of the Legislature’, a reflection of his close to 40 years as a Member of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and distinguished service under four Progressive Conservative Premiers.

“Personally, I will remember Harry as one of my earliest supporters. Among other things, he played an important role in uniting the Federal Conservative movement here in Manitoba.

“I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Harry’s friends and family.”
