A Pleasant Weekend Ahead...Finally!
Another day of record heat yesterday -- with a high of 101° in Richmond -- gives way to a cooler Friday and a decent weekend overall. Northerly winds today will bring mainly dry and sunny conditions, with highs reaching up near 90 for the area -- just a few degrees above normal. Tonight should remain mostly clear and calm, with lows around 64. If you're heading east today -- maybe to the beach -- know that it will be a breezy day along the water. Saturday is looking like a decent start to the weekend, with highs again in the upper 80s and clouds increasing late in the day. This cloud cover comes with a weather disturbance that looks to bring a chance for showers and storms on Sunday and early Monday -- so we might get some rain this weekend, which would be great. Sunday's highs will top out in the middle to upper 80s. The rest of the week will warm back up slightly, into the lower to middle 90s, and should stay mainly dry. For now, enjoy the pleasant day, and keep it on 8News through the weekend for any breaking weather alerts!
