Money Transfers now Free with Zoompass!

Did you Zoom anyone cash today? Maybe paying your buddy back for last night’s dinner? If you did you’d have noticed something — you weren’t charged for the transaction. That’s because Zoompass has removed fees for person-to-person money transfers when using the Zoompass Mobile Wallet.

I guess it was only a matter of time until these transactions became free. Have you ever asked a friend for a fee when they gave you a $20 bill to pay you back for something? No. With more and more people replacing their physical wallet for a virtual one, we want to keep your interactions with money as familiar and simple as it is now.

That also means increasing spending limits. Previously, you were only allowed to spend $250 a day — that’s jumped to $750. You can also spend $1000 a week or $2500 a month, up significantly from before. That provides more flexibility in case you want to go on a trip to Europe or buy 500 Tim Horton’s coffees a day, if for some reason you wanted to do that.

The changes we’ve made not only make it easier for you to get what you need when you need it, but it’s an indication that Zoompass is getting stronger. We plan to roll out more Zoompass Mobile Wallet features soon and make that the whole experience that much better.

Here’s the bottom line, and no offence to the Queen: we expect that one day, in the not so distant future, you won’t need dollar bills. You won’t even carry a wallet, and how great will that be. No more torn pictures of your boyfriend, loose coins won’t be rolling on the floor, and beaten up birth certificates will be a thing of the past. Now that we’ve removed fees on person-to-person transactions and upped spending limits, we’re one step closer to a no-wallet world. Now, if only we could figure out how get makeup into a phone…
