Part of the joy that comes along with filming weddings is that every once & a while you get to film the wedding of an old friend or family member. When I was asked to film Daniel & Lisa’s wedding, a flood of memories came to me. I remember seeing Lisa as a little girl and here she is today walking down the aisle to be given away in marriage. It really is a beautiful experience. I remember she’d come over to play with my sister way back in their early days of grade school!

Filming at this house was also a treat for me. This is the house of her parents. It’s an old historical home which is decorated with antiques from many generations and has beautiful spanish style architecture. The ceremony was held on the house lawn and the reception was held on the side portion of the house. I think home weddings are some of the most beautiful types of weddings because they offer unique views that can’t be found at a hotel or church. All in all, it was a beautiful day and the night was filled with gorgeous candlelight and the warm summer.
