Help DecembeRadio Play a Concert in YOUR AREA!

by DecembeRadio on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 9:12pm ·

Many of you would love DecembeRadio to come to your town to play a concert. Well, here is your chance to get DecembeRadio to play in your area!

First let us explain how a concert comes to be. When a band decides to tour, they have to have offers from promoters to come play. A promoter is a person, company, or organization that puts on the show. They get the place to have the concert (the venue) and the people to work at the show. They advertise the concert, sign the contracts with the bands, sell the tickets, and do everything else that has to do with having the concert. Think of it this way. A promoter throws the party. The band is paid to come in and entertain at the party. So you see, when you ask, "Why doesn't DecembeRadio (or any other band) come play in our city?" it's up to the promoters, not the bands. The bands love to hear that you want to see them, but they can't do much about it other than make themselves available.

So how do you get DecembeRadio to come to your town? Easy. You get one of your local promoters to bring them in!

DecembeRadio's tour managers at H2O Artist Agency email all the promoters they know of to tell them about the tours they are currently booking. But for all those they email, there are thousands of potential promoters out there, either that have never put on a concert but would like to, or who have had concerts, but aren't on H2O's list.

So what can you do? First stop and think of all the concerts you've been to or heard of in your area. Where were they? At a church? A club? A youth building? An amphitheater? Go back and look at your ticket stubs. Sometimes they say, "So and So Productions Presents..." Many times one of your local promoters is your radio station. This is where you start. Call the churches and clubs that have held concerts in the past. Call or email all the churches in your area, and/or their youth pastors. Find the website of the promoters on your old concert ticket stubs and in flyers you've received at concerts and email them. Talk to your church and youth pastor. Call your radio station. In your town there is someone that would be willing to have a concert, if only someone would make them realize it.

It will take some footwork on your part, but it can be done. Many of our fans have helped churches that have never done this before put on DecembeRadio concerts with great success!

So if you will take the challenge that is set before you and call or email your local churches, radio stations, clubs, and anyone else you can think of, here is the information for the tour we are currently booking, our fall LIVE Tour with Red Umbrella http://www.redumbrella.net and The Museum http://themuseummusic.com .

Below is a tour poster you can right click and save to put into emails. On our website is a booking page: http://decemberadio.com/booking.php The information entered there goes right to our booking agency, H2O.

Potential promoters can contact H2O Artist Agency directly by calling 770-736-5363 or by visiting DecembeRadio's page on the H2O site: http://www.h2oaa.com/artist.php?id=62 . There they will find a short bio of the band, and links to the tour listing so they can check dates that may be available, a media kit, and an offer page. Once a potential promoter contacts H2O, the ball is rolling!

We really appreciate all the love and help you give us. If it weren't for you, we couldn't do what we do. And now you can help us reach even more people with our music and ministry. So are you in? Together we can rock the world!

I don't know why no one has posted it before Johanna. It's almost like it's an industry secret. Always feel bad when people say, "Why don't you come to my town?" like they think we just don't want to go there, when that's not the case at al...l. We just need someone to bring us in. We want to go everyone, and see everyone!

Joshua, unfortunately, it's harder to come to other countries because of the expense to travel there. But never say never!

Thanks to all of you who are taking this seriously and sending it on to your churches, youth pastors, radio stations, local clubs, and promoters. We love you all!

    • David Edward Sapp You guys should do a spanish number on one of your albums, with a little latin flare somewhere in the song to jam to! ha! And then some of your argentinian fans can pitch the song to promoters down there to pay your expenses! :) Can u sing in spanish josh?

Michelle, Yes I live up north by the airport in fact just blocks away from Zona Rosa if you know where that is. I know Shane Sleeper who is the promoter for One12Live and I have sent him all the information. He does have a booth at Rock the... Light. He brought in Jimmy Needham last week and the whole month of October there are a lot of Christian concerts that they are bringing in every weekend. I told him he needed to bring in DecembRadio!!!!! I am trying because I LOVE These guys !!!!! See More

    • Mike Williams Well written guys...that is exactly how we got into hosting concerts. Get a group of people together, find a venue and make it happen!!! DecembeRadio is hands down one of the best live shows out there....and who knows, maybe they will ask you to film their second dvd. We are just a small group but were privileged enough to film the first one! Miss you guys. Let's do it again soon!
