An update from Senator Benton
Hello Friends,
I wanted to let you know what I have been up to since withdrawing from the US Senate race. After attending the State GOP Convention in Vancouver, Mary and the boys and I took off a week for a mini vacation for the family to reconnect. I have returned full time to my company and have been travelling all around the country to reconnect with my clients. I have also been trying to raise enough funds to close out the campaign account. While final bills are still coming in, it looks like there will be close to $20,000 in bills from the campaign that Mary and I will have to pick up. Seems trying to save the country is an expensive personal proposition.
If you would like to help us (even a little bit) with this debt I would really appreciate it. Even a small donation would be very much appreciated and will lighten our personal load. Contributions can still be made at: bentonforsenate.com. I will always be proud of the campaign we ran and still believe we did the right thing by consolidating our resources to beat Patty Murray.
Please stay tuned to my Face book page to keep updated on my activity. I plan now to attend the 100 year anniversary of Boy Scouts at the National Jamboree with Brad and Austin in late July. I have volunteered for staff and will be in a tent in the Virginia humidity for 14 days. I will let you know how it went if I survive! Thank you for all you have done for me, the campaign and the country.
Please stay involved as we are in desperate need of citizen activists to save our country. As we have just recently celebrated the 4th of July I have been reflecting on our founding fathers and their ingenious creation of our Republic and how disappointed they would be to see what has happened. We can and must return to the basic principles that have made this the greatest nation on earth. Have a safe and happy summer!

Thank you,
