Florida Strawberry Festival: Free Concert at the Festival Replaces Canceled Julianne Hough Show

Free Concert at the Festival Replaces Canceled Julianne Hough Show
Special 3 p.m. March 8 Concert is Included With Paid Gate Admission

Florida Strawberry Festival officials have worked closely with 99.5 WQYK-FM to find a replacement for the Julianne Hough concert that was canceled for Sunday, March 8. In order to make it up to their loyal Festival patrons, especially during these tough economic times, they have come up with a multi-talented lineup to go on stage at the special show time of 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8.

Chad Brock and Killer Beaz, from the 99.5 WQYK-FM morning show, will perform with the up and coming new group Love and Theft along with Trent Tomlinson in one free performance on the GTE Federal Credit Union Soundstage.

Chad Brock, best known perhaps in this market for his roles on 99.5 WQYK-FM's morning show, has also produced seven singles on the Billboard country music charts, including the Number One hit "Yes!" and the Top Five "Ordinary Life".

Fairly new to the Tampa Bay morning show scene, Killer Beaz has 27 years in stage, television, radio and touring. A beloved performer to millions of comedy fans nationwide, he's known for his high-energy “everyman”- style humor that appeals to a wide audience, selling out venues from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami.

Love and Theft are currently working on their debut album with multi-platinum producers Jeff Coplan and Robert Ellis Orrall. The band is out of Nashville, and consists of three talented singer/songwriters that come together to blend rich harmonies over inspiring, and infectiously catchy songs.

Singer/songwriter Trent Tomlinson is one of those rare performers whose music is as straight-ahead and unpretentious as he is. "It's 'sit in a lawn chair, let's have a party' country," he says of his music. "At the same time, the songs are saying, 'I have the ability to love you, to understand,' and at the end of the day all that matters is Mama and Daddy and going to heaven. That pretty much sums everything up."

General admission seating for the 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8 show is free with paid gate admission, and is available on a first-come, first-seated basis. A VIP section will be held, where folks can win reserved seats from 99.5 WQYK-FM.
