ScoutPath: Feature: Interact With Your Troop
Does your troop have a website? If so, does that website help you communicate with your fellow scouts by sharing news, events and other important information? If not then ScoutPath can help!
Within ScoutPath Troops are a special type of group that allow you and the other scouts in your Troop to get connected and share important information with each other. Once you create your account you will be able to search the community to see if your Troop already exists or not. If not, you will be able to create your Troop and invite other ScoutPath members to join (if your an adult leader). If your a scout and you can’t find your Troop be sure to tell your adult leaders about ScoutPath and have them sign up and create one.
Once your Troop is setup and you’ve invited members you can then begin sharing information between yourselves and the community. Post important news and announcements so that everyone stays in the loop. Promote trips and events so your members know what’s going on and when. Check in on each other and help one another along their trail to Eagle. All this and more is available with you have a ScoutPath account.
The community also gives Troops a unique opportunity to keep in touch with your alumni. We know that once a scout becomes Eagle they will, more than likely, drift away from the Troop and you will likely loose touch. But ScoutPath gives you the ability to keep in touch with those “former” members that have moved on which means we can potentially keep more people involved with scouting which is a rewarding prospect.
ScoutPath is coming this June! If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for our launch mailing list so you get notified when the site goes live.
